Emergency Medical Responder

The majority of calls dispatched to Nesbit Fire Department are emergency medical calls. Emergency medical responders (EMRs) are tasked with responding to the scene of the emergency, assessing the patient, providing lifesaving medical interventions if necessary, and assisting the ambulance crew when they arrive on scene. All training is provided and no experience is necessary, however, anyone with a medical background such as EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, etc. are encouraged to apply! Most firefighters at Nesbit Fire Department are trained to the EMR level or higher.
