About NFD

The Nesbit Fire Department was founded to fill a need in the Nesbit community for a fire department. Today, the Nesbit Fire Department provides fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to the Nesbit Fire Protection District located in unincorporated central Desoto County, Mississippi. From the beginning, Nesbit Fire Department has been 100% volunteer and remains completely volunteer today. In addition to responding to emergency calls in Nesbit Fire Protection District, Nesbit Fire Department is also initially dispatched to structure fires as mutual aid for neighboring departments in western and central Desoto County.
